A View of Michigan Community Foundation Donor Advised Funds and Implications for the Broader Field
Tuesday, March 8th at 1-2pm. Hosted by the National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers.
Summary: In 2020-2021, the Council of Michigan Foundations partnered with the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy to expand upon previous research regarding foundation payout rates. As part of this series, Analysis of Donor Advised Funds from a Community Foundation Perspective made headlines in the field for its focus on the payout rates of individual DAF accounts housed at Michigan-based community foundations. The study yielded insights into payout rates and patterns of both contributions to and distributions from individual DAF accounts across a four-year period. This interactive webinar with the study co-authors (and NNCG members), Jeff Williams (left) of the Johnson Center and Brittany Kienker, Ph.D. (middle), of the Council of Michigan Foundations/Kienker Consulting, will give participants an in-depth look at the results and process involved in this ground-breaking research.
